Cutting Edge Stencils Is Featured In Country Living Magazine’s September Issue!

Good morning, my home decor loving friends!  Cutting Edge Stencils was super excited to open the September issue of one of our favorite home decor magazines, Country Living Magazine, and spot our gorgeous Chelsea Stencil pattern.  The September issue, also known as the Ultimate Color Guide, is just packed with colorful paint tips and DIY projects that are easy and affordable.  Now it’s been tough but we’ve managed to put this issue down just long enough to give you the 411 on what they’ve said about us this time!

Chelsea Stenciled Farmhouse Table by Ashley from Domestic Imperfection

We’d like to welcome back Ashley, the queen of DIY from Domestic Imperfection.  Ashley recently painted a farmhouse table using our Chelsea allover Stencil which was featured in a Minwax promotion inside the September issue of Country Living magazine.  Can we get a little woohoo?

Now you see why we’re super excited!  Ok, but let’s back up a little and fill you in on all the juicy deets.  Ashley was contacted by Country Living magazine a couple of months ago and asked if she’d like to work on a project for Minwax.  Of course she jumped at the opportunity and luckily, she brought us  along for this exciting ride.  Minwax is promoting a “you can do it” attitude to encourage the everyday DIYer to attempt a wood finishing project.  For inspiration, they’ve reached out to four artisans to create beautiful projects using a variety of wood finishing techniques.  Ashley was commissioned to build a farmhouse table, stencil, stain, and seal it.   Once it was complete, she shipped it off to NYC for a photoshoot.  Ashley says, This was an easy and inexpensive way to make a table that really stands out with a unique decorative touch.”

We simply love that she took a plain jane farmhouse table, like the one below, and gave it a pretty patterned makeover.

We love the way this pretty, patterned farm table stands out.  Ashley says this project was, “Easy and beautiful!”
